About 940 Polaris Outlaw 525 ATVs have been recalled by Polaris Industries due to a fire hazard caused by a loose fuel valve within the fuel tank.
So far, no injuries have been reported, but these ATV model ‘4-wheelers’ have only been on the market since January of this year.
Each Polaris Outlaw 525 sells for about $7,300 at ATV shops throughout the Unites States.
Riders should cease use of the recalled Outlaw four-wheeler immediately and contact their local Polaris dealer for a FREE fuel tank replacement.
If you are a registered consumer you should receive a notice from Polaris about the recall on their Outlaw 525 model four wheelers.
For more information you can contact Polaris directly at 1-800-765-2747 during business hours or visit their website at www.polarisindustries.com.
Yes my son purchase a new 525 outlaw last year 2007 in mid Feb. He never recieved a noitce from Polaris regaurding the Gas Tank. I found this recall when we came across the recall on the rear end. We notified the Polaris dealer where he purchased the unit and they are going to repair the rear end, but they told him that his tank was taken care of before he purchased it. I find that really funny since the recall did not come out until June of that year 4 months after he purchased the unit. Will you tell me what avenue we can take to get it taken care of.
thank you
Kevin Brett
